Maggie Lindley is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Masters student at St. Bonaventure University, slated to graduate in 2025. She is currently completing her practicum and internship hours with the Behavioral Wellness Clinic and supporting the team as a clinical assistant.
Through experiencing the birth of her first child, Maggie discovered her passion for advocating for new mothers experiencing perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and started Mindful Mamas, a peer support program for mothers in the workplace. Through this work, Maggie has honed her ability to provide individuals with a safe space where they are truly seen and heard and allowed to explore themselves on a deeper level.
Maggie uses concepts such as radical acceptance, mindfulness, self-compassion, and emotional observation to help increase self-awareness, empowerment, and self-love. She also uses a solution-focused, person-centered approach and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), which enhances traditional cognitive behavioral therapy by incorporating mindfulness practice through the five senses and meditation. Maggie believes learning has no end and always seeks to gain understanding through curiosity and empathy.Maggie is a mother to two young children and wife to her husband of six years. Together, they enjoy hiking, going to the farmers market, and fixing up their 1970s home in Mansfield, CT.
